Vivo is set to release its latest 5G smartphone, the Vivo Y300 5G, on November 21st in India. The company recently confirmed the launch date and showed the phone’s design, which looks very similar to the Vivo V40 Lite launched worldwide.
The teaser image for the Vivo Y300 5G reveals color options like Titanium Silver, Dynamic Black, and Emerald Green, and a design much like the Vivo V40 Lite. This similarity hints that the Y300 5G might be a rebranded version of the V40 Lite, but customized for India.
The Vivo V40 Lite features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. The Y300 5G is expected to feature a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor and AI Aura Light, along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens. and a 32MP front camera for selfies. The device is also likely to have an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP64 water and dust protection, stereo speakers, and a 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
While most of the main features will probably stay the same, the RAM and storage options for the Y300 5G haven’t been confirmed yet. This phone will join Vivo’s Y series lineup, following last month’s Vivo Y300+ release. The Y300+ comes with a slightly larger 6.78-inch curved FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 695 processor, a 50MP dual-camera setup, and a 5000mAh battery with 44W fast charging.
The Vivo Y300 5G will be available for purchase on Flipkart, Vivo’s official India e-store, and retail outlets across the country. Although its price hasn’t been confirmed, the Y300+ was released with a starting price of INR 23,999.
