Vivo X Fold 4 Leak: Massive 6,000mAh Battery, Snapdragon 8 Elite, and a Surprise Launch Delay

Vivo X Fold 4: What We Know So Far

Vivo-X-Fold4

Vivo introduced the X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro earlier this year in China. These foldable phones were powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively. Now, details about Vivo’s next foldable, the Vivo X Fold 4, are starting to surface. A trusted source, Digital Chat Station, recently shared some interesting rumors about its specs and launch timeline.

Vivo X Fold 4 Features (Rumored)

If the leaks are correct, Vivo is focusing on making the X Fold 4 thinner and lighter than ever. Even with its slim design, it will reportedly have a large 6,000mAh battery that supports wireless charging. The phone is also expected to have an IPX8 water resistance rating, which means it should handle water exposure better than most foldables.

For security, it will keep the dual ultrasonic fingerprint sensors seen in the X Fold 3 Pro. You’ll find one on the external display and another on the foldable inner screen. The camera system could be impressive, too. Rumors say it will have three 50MP cameras in a circular module. These include a standard lens, a 3x zoom periscope lens, and an ultra-wide lens—giving you a lot of options for photos and videos.

One of the new features could be a three-stage pressure-sensitive button. This would be the first time Vivo adds such a button to its phones.

When Is It Coming?

Unlike the X Fold 3 series, Vivo might only launch one version of the X Fold 4. While earlier rumors pointed to a release in early 2025, the latest update suggests a delay. It now seems likely that we’ll see the phone in the second quarter of 2025.

Stay tuned for more updates as Vivo gets closer to officially revealing its next foldable.
