Today, vivo announced the launch of OriginOS 5, which is based on Android 15, at its developer conference targeted at the Chinese market. This announcement comes shortly after the release of Funtouch OS 15 for vivo and iQOO devices in India last month.

OriginOS 5 is rolled out under the tagline “Natural, smooth, super AI.” The latest operating system (OS) features improved dynamic effects, smoother performance, depth-of-field wallpapers, customizable lock screen widgets, and a centered interface akin to Dynamic Island. It places a stronger focus on AI integration throughout its interface.

Blue Heart Little V Assistant: The upgraded Little V assistant delivers a “system-level” and “scenario-based” experience, utilizing a proprietary large language model. Users can activate Little V using voice commands or through a long press at the bottom of the phone to open a search box.
