Apple recently introduced a notification summary feature in its iOS 18.1 update, which helps users by collecting and summarizing all pending notifications so they can easily catch up. Now, according to a recent report, Samsung is planning to bring a similar feature to its Galaxy devices with the upcoming One UI 7 update, which will be based on Android 15.
A well-known leaker, @chunvn8888, shared that Samsung wants to add notification summaries to its growing list of Galaxy AI features, allowing users to quickly review recent notifications. This idea isn’t entirely new—Google has already added a similar feature to Android Auto, where Google Assistant reads and summarizes notifications out loud.
Which Phones Will Get the Feature?
Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed any details yet. However, reports suggest that this notification summary feature will be available on Samsung’s flagship models, while entry-level and mid-range phones may not receive it. Currently, the feature is in beta testing for One UI 7, but only in South Korea. Samsung is expected to expand beta testing to more regions in the coming months.
One UI 7 Features
Samsung first introduced One UI 7 at its SDC event earlier this year. According to the announcement, One UI 7 will bring smoother animations, support for homework help on Circle to Search, enhanced parental controls, and more helpful features.
