Samsung is reportedly planning to add a new, fourth model to its upcoming Galaxy S25 series, according to a recent report by Korean outlet ETNews. This new model, expected to be called the “Galaxy S25 Slim,” will likely be thinner than the other Galaxy S25 models and could be released in the second quarter of 2025. SmartPrix confirmed this, mentioning that official sources backed up the information.
In the Galaxy S25 lineup, there are three main models so far: the Galaxy S25 model number SM-S931, Galaxy S25+ (SM-S936), and Galaxy S25 Ultra (SM-S938). However, Samsung is also reportedly working on this additional “Slim” model, identified by model number SM-S937 (with the U.S. version listed as SM-S937U). Recently, this model was spotted in the GSMA IMEI database, though it currently only appears as “Galaxy” to keep the name a secret for now.
The new Galaxy S25 Slim is said to be Samsung’s answer to Apple’s upcoming “Slim” version, showing Samsung’s interest in offering thinner versions of their devices, something they have done before.
Samsung usually registers its phones in the GSMA IMEI database about six to seven months before the release to allow enough time for testing. With the Galaxy S25 Slim expected to launch in Q2 2025, we might see it around April or May. This release would place Samsung’s new model up against devices like Google’s Pixel 9a and Apple’s iPhone SE 4, which are also expected around the same time.
As of now, there aren’t many details available about the Galaxy S25 Slim’s features or specs. All that is known is its model number, which confirms it exists. More information should come out as the launch date gets closer.
