Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi K80 series by the end of this month, and we’ve got some exciting details about these smartphones, thanks to a recent leak from Weibo tipster, Experience More. Let’s break down what you can expect from the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro models.
Redmi K80: Powerful and Reliable
The Redmi K80 will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. While it’s not the very latest, it’s still a super-fast chip that can handle your favorite games and apps smoothly.
You’ll get a stunning 2K display with a flat Huaxing LTPS panel, just like its predecessor. It’s great for enjoying videos or browsing through your favorite apps.
When it comes to cameras, the K80 has a 50MP main camera for clear and sharp photos, an 8MP ultrawide camera for group shots, and a 2MP macro lens to capture close-up details. Selfies will look great too, thanks to the 20MP front camera.
For battery life, the K80 packs a large 6,500mAh battery that should last you an entire day. Plus, it supports 90W fast charging, so you won’t have to wait long to get it powered up.
You’ll feel the premium touch with its metal middle frame and durable Dragon Crystal Glass on the front and back. It’s also IP68-rated, meaning it’s protected against dust and water. For security, you’ll find an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display.
Redmi K80 Pro: Even More Features
The Redmi K80 Pro steps things up with an even faster processor – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. Like the K80, it also has a 2K flat Huaxing LTPS display, which is great for gaming or streaming movies.
The cameras on the Pro model are a big upgrade. The main camera is the same 50MP sensor, but the ultrawide camera is bumped up to 32MP, and there’s a 50MP telephoto lens with 2.6x zoom to capture far-away details. The 20MP selfie camera stays the same.
The Pro model has a slightly smaller 6,000mAh battery, but it makes up for it with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, which means you can charge your phone super quickly.
Like the K80, the Pro version also includes a metal middle frame, Dragon Crystal Glass, and the IP68 rating to keep it safe from dust and water. It also has the same ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display for added security.
What’s the Difference?
If you’re looking for a phone with powerful performance and solid features, the Redmi K80 has got you covered. But if you want even faster charging, better cameras, and top-of-the-line performance, the Redmi K80 Pro might be worth the upgrade.
Both phones bring impressive features, so it’s just a matter of what works best for you
