Motorola is set to launch its newest foldable phone, the Motorola Razr 50D, in Japan on December 19th. Announced by Japanese mobile operator NTT DOCOMO, this phone is a foldable like the Motorola Razr 50 that came out earlier in India.
Specifications of Motorola Razr 50D
The Motorola Razr 50D is packed with impressive features. It features a 6.9-inch FHD+ pOLED inner display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, along with a 3.6-inch outer screen. It runs on a 4000mAh battery, which is slightly smaller than the 4200mAh battery in the Razr 50.
For photography, it has a 50MP main camera and a 13MP secondary lens, plus a 32MP front camera for selfies. The device is equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It also supports wireless charging, is water-resistant (IPX8), has Hi-Res audio, stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos for great sound.

The Razr 50D has dimensions of 171 x 74 x 7.3 mm and a weight of 187 grams, offering a sleek and lightweight design for a foldable phone.
Price and Availability
NTT DOCOMO’s website shows the Motorola Razr 50D in a beige color, and it looks stylish. The phone is priced at 114,950 Japanese Yen, approximately Rs 64,000. Pre-orders start on December 13th, and the official release is on December 19th.
Customers can use the ‘Anytime Kaedoki Program’ to pay in monthly installments of 2587 Japanese Yen (about Rs 1,500) for 23 months. If the phone is returned in good condition, the price drops to 59,501 Yen, roughly Rs 33,000. If you choose to keep it, the remaining balance of 55,440 Yen (around Rs 31,000) will be spread out in further installments.
Motorola is also releasing two new protective cases: one with a vegan leather finish and neck strap, and another hard case made from Tritan material, giving you options to personalize and protect your phone.
