Motorola has also made the Android 15 beta version available for certain devices, like the Edge 50 Fusion. If you want to try the new software early, you can join Motorola’s beta program.
What’s New in Android 15?
1. Private Space
Android 15 introduces a “Private Space” feature, which allows you to secure specific apps with an extra layer of security. These apps won’t appear in recent apps, settings, or anywhere else, making it a safe place for apps like banking or personal messaging apps.
2. App Archiving
This feature lets you uninstall apps without losing your data. Previously, this worked only for apps installed through the Google Play Store. Now, Android 15 extends this feature to apps installed from other sources. It helps free up storage while keeping your data safe for when you reinstall the app.
3. Improved Multitasking
Android 15 improves multitasking, particularly for larger devices such as foldables and tablets. It now allows you to set up “app pairs,” making it easy to open two apps in split-screen mode with just one tap. These app pairs will be saved as shortcuts on your home screen.
For foldable devices, Android 15 lets you continue using an app on the outer screen when you close the inner display, without needing to unlock the device. You can also pin or unpin the taskbar for quick access to your favorite apps.
4. Other Features
- Real-time widget previews for better interactivity.
- Theft detection, which alerts you if your phone is being stolen.
- Satellite connectivity support for better communication in remote areas.
- Enhanced animations and a more seamless user experience
