Apple has plans to launch the iPhone 17 series in 2025, including the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a brand-new iPhone 17 Slim. This will be Apple’s first-ever slim smartphone, designed with a sleek, super-thin look. According to reports, Apple may also discontinue its Plus model with the iPhone 17 lineup, possibly renaming the iPhone 17 Slim as the “iPhone Air” to attract more buyers.
What to Expect from the iPhone 17 Slim
The iPhone 17 Slim is expected to hit the market around September 2025. Rumors suggest that it could be powered by the A19 chip and feature 8GB of RAM, along with a new type of OLED display. The slim design may come at a premium price, making it even costlier than the iPhone 17 Pro Max. To achieve a thinner build, Apple might switch to an aluminum chassis instead of titanium. The device is also expected to include the Dynamic Island, a feature that provides interactive alerts and notifications.
As for the display, reports indicate the iPhone 17 Slim could have a 6.6-inch screen—slightly smaller than the 6.7-inch display on the iPhone 16 Plus. However, since Apple may experiment with different designs for its first slim smartphone, the display size could still change. Apple might also introduce ProMotion technology across the iPhone 17 lineup, allowing a 120Hz refresh rate on the iPhone 17 Slim for smoother scrolling and video playback.
In terms of camera layout, Apple is rumored to be changing or relocating the rear camera module on the iPhone 17 Slim.
Expected Price for iPhone 17 Slim
The iPhone 17 Slim is anticipated to be more expensive than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, partly due to its slim form factor and advanced display technology. Currently, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is priced at ₹1,44,900 for the 256GB variant, ₹1,64,900 for the 512GB variant, and ₹1,84,900 for the 1TB model. If Apple discontinues the Plus models, the iPhone 16 Plus could mark the end of this series.
