While the Apple iPhone 16 series just launched a couple of months ago, early leaks have shown the design of the upcoming iPhone 17 lineup. The new design features a big change on the back, so let’s check out this leaked render.
iPhone 17 Leaked Design
The iPhone 17 series model render was shared by popular tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, which is a social media site in China. From the image, we can see that Apple is keeping the pill-shaped module we saw on the base iPhone 16. However, the camera sensors are not stacked vertically; instead, they take inspiration from the recent Google Pixel 9.
The leaked pictures reveal three camera sensors along with an LED flash. Apple made a design refresh with the iPhone 16, but it looks like the iPhone 17 might be making an even bigger change. If this leak is accurate, it would be the biggest change to the iPhone in years. The exact details of the camera setup are still unclear, but Digital Chat Station mentioned that Android smartphone makers might also adopt a similar design.
The three camera sensors suggest that this is an iPhone 17 Pro model. Also, the leaked iPhone 17 Pro has a dedicated camera button on the side. Since this is such an early leak, it’s best to take this information with caution. It still seems unlikely that Apple would make such a huge change. So stay tuned for more updates as we get more information about the next-gen iPhones. The 2025 iPhone lineup may also include a new iPhone 17 Air model that could be over 2mm thinner than the iPhone 16.
