Honor has announced plans to launch a new smartphone, the Magic 7 RSR, and tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) has shared some early details. Honor is also planning to introduce a new device in its GT series.
Honor Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design
A teaser revealed that the Honor Magic 7 RSR is set to launch in December 2024. It’s expected to have a similar design to its previous model, featuring a unique hexagon-shaped camera module.
According to DCS, the Honor Magic 7 RSR will come with a powerful camera setup, starting with a 50MP main camera that has a variable aperture to capture better photos in different lighting. It will also include a 200MP periscope telephoto lens for enhanced zoom, along with a third camera, likely a 50MP ultrawide sensor, similar to the Magic 7 Pro.
Honor’s Next-Gen GT Device
For the GT series, DCS suggests that this new phone will be designed to compete with other high-performance smartphones, especially those from Redmi and iQOO. It may come with a 1.5K flat display and a bigger battery, and it’s likely to be powered by last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
This new GT device is expected to follow the Honor 90 GT and compete directly with the Redmi K80 and iQOO Neo 10 series. We can expect more updates on its specs soon.
In related news, Realme recently launched its GT 7 Pro with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, starting at ¥3,599 (~$506) in China, making it a good option for gamers and everyday users alike.
