Last month, Honor introduced its Honor 300 series smartphones in China. Now, reports suggest the company is preparing to launch a new Honor GT series phone in its home market this month. Today, Honor dropped the first teaser for the device, giving us a glimpse of its design. Here’s what we know so far about this upcoming GT-series phone.
First Look at Honor GT
Honor has shared a teaser image showcasing the design of the upcoming Honor GT phone. The image reveals a rectangular camera module with the “GT” logo positioned at the bottom-right corner, hinting at a performance-focused design.
The “GT” branding signals that this phone will prioritize high performance. Rumors suggest it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and support 100W fast charging. Additionally, it is expected to feature a flat OLED display.
With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the Honor GT is poised to rival other performance-centric devices like the Redmi K80 and iQOO Neo 10, which are also powered by the same chip. Notably, Honor’s recently launched Honor 300 Pro and 300 Ultra also use this chipset. These models include impressive triple-camera setups, with the Pro featuring a 50MP main, 50MP telephoto, and 12MP ultra-wide cameras, while the Ultra swaps the telephoto for a periscope lens.
Given its performance-oriented nature, the Honor GT is unlikely to emphasize advanced photography. However, to stay competitive, the phone might still include a solid primary camera for general use.
Honor is expected to reveal more about the GT series phone later this week, so stay tuned for updates on this exciting launch
