Samsung is preparing to deliver its cutting-edge System S25 phones, and in front of the official announcement, a few key features have surfaced through a significant confirmation. The System S25 series, which incorporates the Glaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, was spotted on the FCC certificate (through 91Mobiles), hinting at a forthcoming launch. While the new phones look exciting, there’s some terrible news with regard to charging speeds.
No Big Changes in Charging Speed for Galaxy S25
The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra models were completely listed in the FCC data set with the help of 5G, Bluetooth, NFC, GNSS, and double-band Wi-Fi. In any case, the charging speeds appear to be a step back. The Galaxy S25 is listed with a similar 25W charging connector (EP-TA800) that has been around for some time. This puts Samsung behind its Android competitors, and even Apple has found faster charging speeds.
For the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra, things get somewhat better with 45W quick charging support. The S25 Ultra model is also expected to incorporate the S-Pen, however, there’s as yet a catch: wireless charging could see a downgrade. The World S25 was recorded with just 9W wireless charging, which is lower than the 15W remote charging that happened to its predecssor.
While we’ll need to trust that the official launch will confirm every one of the details, Samsung will continue to charge speeds slower than expected. Perhaps 2026 will be the year we see quicker charging from the company.
