Nothing has just released its second open beta update for Nothing OS 3.0 on the Nothing Phone (2a), bringing lots of new features and improvements, Here’s a breakdown of what’s new and how to get it.
New Shared Widgets Feature
One of the coolest additions in this update is the shared widgets feature, which lets you share photo widgets with friends and family. This means you can see each other’s widgets on your home screen and even interact with reactions. Right now, only photo widgets can be shared, but Nothing is working on adding more options in the future.
Other Key Updates
Quick Settings Improvements
The animations in Quick Settings have been smoothed out, including how you swipe and resize tiles. Bluetooth tile transitions are also improved, making the overall experience better.
Smart Drawer Enhancements
Apps are now organized more accurately in categories, and there’s a new auto-sort feature that arranges your apps and folders based on how often you use them.
Camera Improvements
Switching between camera modes is more stable, and the HDR algorithm has been improved for better photo quality. Portrait Mode and Ultra HDR Mode also have brighter and more vibrant results.
Visual and Performance Updates
Your most-used apps are now easier to access, thanks to AI-powered organization. For gamers, PUBG now supports a high refresh rate of 90 fps, making gameplay smoother. Plus, there’s an easy guide for first-time Pop-up view users, along with general bug fixes to improve performance.
How to Install the Update
