In October, Honor launched the Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro in China, featuring the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. During that event, Honor also hinted at a higher-end model called the Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design, which is set for release in December.
Leaked Specifications of the Honor Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design (Rumored)
Recently, a leak from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo has revealed more details about this upcoming model. Though the leak didn’t mention the name outright, it’s widely believed to be about the Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design.
According to the leak, this new model will feature a 6.8-inch LTPO screen with a high 1.5K resolution, curved edges on all sides, and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The front camera setup is said to include a 50-megapixel Always-On sensor and 3D facial recognition for added security.
For the back cameras, the Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design will offer a 50-megapixel main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a powerful 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The phone will run Magic OS 9, based on Android 15.
When it comes to charging, the Magic 7 RSR is expected to support both 100W and 80W fast charging, and it may use the same 5,850mAh battery found in the Magic 7 Pro model.
Other highlights include a single-point ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and a high-level IP68/IP69 rating for water and dust protection. The device, certified under model number PTP-AN20, will support dual satellite connectivity, which will allow real-time voice calls through TianTong and two-way messaging with BeiDou. Honor has confirmed two color options: Provence Purple and Agate Gray. It’s also expected that the Porsche Design version will offer storage choices of 24GB of RAM with either 512GB or 1TB of internal storage.
