Honor has officially launched its new smartwatch, the Honor Watch 5, in select European markets, including the UK, Spain, and Germany. The watch was first revealed at IFA 2024 in September and comes with several updates and new features compared to the previous model.
Honor Watch 5 Specs
The Honor Watch 5 has a larger 1.85-inch AMOLED display, offering a sharp and bright screen. It’s slim, measuring just 11mm thick, and weighs only 35g, making it comfortable to wear all day.
For health tracking, the Watch 5 keeps an eye on important health metrics like heart rate and SpO2 (blood oxygen levels). It also has a one-click health scan feature that lets you check your health quickly. The AccuTrack system improves GPS accuracy, making it easier to track your activities.
The smartwatch comes with a 480mAh silicon-carbon battery that can last up to 15 days on a single charge. Thanks to Turbo X Smart Power Management, the watch is even more energy-efficient.
The Honor Watch 5 comes with more than 400 customizable watch faces, round-the-clock heart rate monitoring, SpO2 and sleep tracking, and 85 sports modes, including 12 professional workout options. It has 5 ATM water resistance, meaning you can wear it while swimming, and it supports different GPS systems for precise activity tracking.
Pricing and Availability
The Honor Watch 5 comes in two versions. The first is a 64MB+4GB model with a black or gold silicone strap, priced at £129.99/€149.00. The second version features a green leather strap and costs £149.99/€169.00. It’s still unclear when the smartwatch will be available in other European countries.
In related news, Xiaomi has also launched the Xiaomi Watch S4, which is a more affordable option compared to the Watch S4 Sport. The Watch S4 offers features like interchangeable straps, customizable watch faces, and replaceable bezels. It also has a digital crown, gesture controls, and over 150 sports modes.
